Question Anyone Else Think Harry Potter Was Boring (Spoiler Alert)?

everyone said it was kick ass, the best yet, etc and i went to go see it today and was honestly like wtf that is it? i didn't read any books and go strictly on the movie series so my opinions are based on that.

first off the story to me was gay. most of the movies with the cute g/f b/f bull crap, like 5-10 minutes of flash backs of valdimor as a kid, followed by useless scences and conversations, all until the end of the movie.

the last 10-15 minutes was the best part of the movie BUT, it was way to short. like seriously after i sat through all that useless stuff, and saw the bad guys got into hogwarts i was amped for some kick ass wizard fights, but no it was the crazy bitch blowing up the dining room and blowing up that guys house outisde and done. major gayness....the guy took the entire movie to build up to the part to bring the bad guys in and bam, nothing .

also when they ganged up and the guy killed the old man was also a good part of the movie but i was really disappointed at the end when the guy was beating on harry (synther or something) and he was on the floor.

i was really hopping something would happen then like harry getting up, concentrating, and becomming like invincible (you know like turn super sayan 4 and have the other guy going "it can't be" or "no, thats impossible" something, one of those powerful moments when the guy...you know what im talking about.

other than the last 10-15 minutes of the movie i say the movie was fail, the story was gay, off topic, and didn't have one focus leading to the ending...

i hope in the next one there will be some hard core wizard fights now that all the bad guys are identified and grouped together...

and that is my review...discuss

Typical Harry Potter movie IMO....

Slow, pointless plot until the last 15 minutes of suspense in the movie. It's was also PG, unlike the last films, so they dumbed down the fight scenes for the kiddies.

They kinda did so because the next 2 movies are easily going to get R ratings. Yes I said 2 movies. The 7th book is so long and detailed that there is no way to make 1 movie out of it and get it right. They've already confirmed a 2 part movie as well.

Anyways theres going to lots of killing and action in those 2, enough not to erupt anyones gaydar

I liked it. One thing that people don't realize is that you need to follow the whole story from the first movie to understand what is happening. So it might not make sense if you're skipping around.

Every two seconds this girl complained to her husband about something. I thought I whined a lot but jeez she complained about the view, the over priced hot dog she bought, her straw, the shoes she was wearing, someone that never called her. I was like can you be quiet or go outside. She just looked at me.

LOL, chronic naggers.....

Everyone was hacking around the old bag I was sitting next to. I about had an asthma attack, and the movie was long as hell.

Damn the old ladies and their old lady perfume!

hm...i could see the 2 part of the 7th book and if it is confirmed even better, but R rating, i don't see that happening, especially for all the kid fans...

i wanted there to be a R version of narnia but that didn't happen as well

The movie was not very good. Probably the worst one in the series, in my opinion. Too many differences from the book, and too many details left out. It just felt like it's jumping from scene to scene with nothing connecting them.

I agree. Coming from the other movies, I knew this was going to be the case, so I went in with an open mind. I did my best to watch it as if I had no idea what was going to happen. Doing that, I thought it was a good movie but I didn't like it when I compared it to the book.

Also, how the hell is that PG? A guy gets fucking killed and falls off a high tower, zombies, etc. If that was PG and the next movies are PG-13, they shouldn't be too restrained and therefore better.

These little kids behind me were covering their eyes the whole movie haha. Their dad was pissed the movie was so "scary". He actually had to take one of them outside for a little while when Katie Bell was lifted into the air by that necklace. lol
