Thanks Dave. I just pre-ordered the 200-600. As much as I would like the 600f4, that is just more coin than I am willing to spend on a hobby at the moment

I'll probably sell the 400mm when my 600mm comes in. I've got the capital to hold it, so I'll see much I actually use it during deer season, but I suspect that I'll sell it.

That 200-600mm is an incredible deal.

^^^^Man, Sony gear is seriously impressive. What a shot.

EDIT: The photographer's skill in this instance is equally impressive. Hell of a shot, Ed.

Thanks Mark! It's a bit of both I assure you. The A9 (and the RX10) has some magic in the AF tracking that is for sure. I get twice as many keepers versus my older gear. Kind of sad as I kind of prefer the look of a lot of my Canon files, but they just haven't kept up.

We really are getting spoiled by technology. This SOOC shot from an iPhone 7 would have been a pipe dream not too long ago.

That's about half of the whole structure. One of the largest convention centers I've ever seen, and I've been to many.

I just used the auto-fix function when I viewed the photo on the Chromebook I took with me on vacation. That's usually enough to give the picture a little more contrast and pop.
Occasionally I'll use the adjust brightness/contrast function in PSE, but that's not usually necessary.
Here is the picture as it came from the camera.

Interesting. I normally shoot in color and then convert in DxO.
