I should have known better and done my due diligence. It was not the actually person selling the item, but someone who messaged me after I showed interest in that item and I didn't pay attention that it was someone different who messaged me about it. The phone number they used is 414-533-5068. A quick Google search shows that they have done it on a Corvette Forum and the F80 Bimmer Forum. Venmo account used by them was @Monsal44.

Happened to me yesterday as well from two different numbers. Stole pics from the FS thread and found my number in one of my FS threads. I just PM'd the OP and asked if they were texting me...they weren't.

Yikes.

They are everywhere. I've reported so many users lately, newbs with nonsense answers bumping their post counts. Don't even have to do that to start trying things. Definitely everyone needs to be aware and super skeptical.
