Book on driving physics and engineering?

Looking for a good book on the physics and engineering of performance driving. This would be for a non-engineer. I was thumbing through a copy of Herb Adam's "Chassis Engineering" and it's quite good, but I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions that might cover a broader range of topics.

The book is a good one, I had it for decades, until recently.

Other good ones:

Automotive Suspension and Steering Systems by Birch

https://www.amazon.com/Automotive-Su.../dp/0030946824

Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics by Gillespie. I had an autographed copy.

I have spent 30 years in vehicle-related companies, including one of the Big 3.

If you can't track i'd recommend picking up video game like forza or gran turismo. Taught me a lot about basic driving physics and car control. you can also make adjustments in every facet of suspension, tire pressures, and gear ratios to see how it effects performance and lap times.
