The last topless Bentley, the Bacalar at around £1.5 million had NO roof at all and was known as a genuine barchetta, (little boat) and only 12 of those were built for places where the sun always shines.

They're not doing it for you, or me, or even the 16 people, they're doing it for advertising, which is their legacy.

I don't think so. Had the OP never posted the video, I'd never have seen it. I think people who can afford a Bentley are not persuaded by advertising.

Ya, I don't wanna rain on OP's parade either but I personally don't get the idea of Bentley even if I was one of the eligible 16. Talk about the anti-thesis of the Miata/Lotus concept, not for ppl who really love to drive.

I'm sure these 16 off Batur's and the previous limited production ones are not Bentley's intention of saying they are only going to a chosen few.

All that money and it still comes w a soft top...and no, that's not how it was meant to be. If the old carmakers back in the day had today's tech, do you really think they would place a napkin where a metal roof is supposed to be? They only did it because that's all they knew what to do w their ltd expertise/tech/etc.

A hardtop convertible would be sweet but add a ton of weight with all of the insulation they use. Rolls uses soft tops too, must be junk.
