Wow, nice watches on here.

Here is my daily wear:

A custom Tag Monaco Calibre 12, only one they made with a metal band (From a Monaco LS)

Wife just pointed out the face will be nearly the same colour as our car (LeMans Blue)

Thanks! I really like it. I am not a fan of leather bands, and was lucky enough that they were able to do this. The band from the LS is really nice and matched the regular Monaco perfectly. How it should have been made IMHO. I also like the micro-adjustment of the band as well. Being a mechanic means my wrists can drastically change size depending on the work being done that day.

What do you guys think about this deal? The seller wants $2600, comes with original purchase papers. Is it a deal worth taking?

Good deal, appears to be a 2500D. I love mine, same exact watch but a 45.5.

I know that sometimes prices are a bit higher in Canada, but that goes for about $2100 in SoCal.

Never seen a 2500D PO go for $2100 without issues. That's a $2500-$3000 watch on avg.

does the smaller size of the watch, reflect the cost? On these omegas in particular?

Depends on your market. In NA, larger watches are more en vogue right now, so they command a slight premium. In Europe, they still prefer the smaller faces, so not as much. Same situation as 328i resale vs 335i resale. Depends on your market.

Doesn't really seem to on PO's. I've seen 42's sell for more than 45's and visa versa. MSRP was the same.

If that PO is a C or D series and it comes with box and papers that's a good price.

I've seen 42 and 45 going for same prices

IMO the 42mm is perfect.

I remember I bought my first decent watch, the Breitling Blackbird, in 1999 for 2800.00....that was a ton of money at the time...now same style of Breitling watch sells for 4-6k!...inflation sucks

On a side note, you guys need to be super careful when buying a watch off of eBay...I bought a JLC master compressor diving chrono awhile back in "excellent" condition and it was so scratched and abused that I sent it back to JLC factory for repair and they wanted 6000.00 to fix it all...they wanted 2800.00 just to replace the bezel!

I will never buy from a individual off of eBay ever again...Timezone is more reliable IMHO.

I agree, I have large wrists, and a I like the way a 40-42mm looks on me, it's so much classier and non-invasive.

don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good 45 every now and again, but generally most of my watches are around that 40-42 mark.

If you like flashy watches, always go 44 or higher.... A lot of chronos will be 44-45mm as well.
