Mac played with the second team O and defense during camp and could barely move the ball down the field. Mac was the same guy during the season that he was in preseason and camp: low risk, short throws because he didn’t trust his arm to make the tight windows and deep throws.

Despite being gifted a team and offense he didn’t earn, his production was terrible. 22TDs to 13ints. Keep in mind Cam had LESS to work with last season - his top receiver was Jackobi Meyers, and NKeal was literally #2, and his top TE are now currently benchwarming as 4th strings. And had about the same stat line. Literally, no one could have done better in that situation.

Mac managed to get 3 more wins with 250 MILLION in new personnel, and an easier schedule. And he STILL lost 4 of the last 5 games when actually asked to do his job and pass the ball. I believe the Colts watched the Tape and decided to shut down the run game and force Mac to pass, and he blew it. It would have been 5/5 but the Windstorm in the Buff game saved him.

I get it, Mac is a rookie, he has room to grow. But honestly, Mac sat Behind Tua in college, and had one good year with basically an NFL roaster and was thrown right into the pros so he could stoke Bills ego - Bill is still salty that Brady won a SB without him showing that Bill didn’t help him - he was helping Bill. Mac has never shown any ‘flashes’ to say he’s on the same level as Herbert, Burrow, Allen or the like. He’s a game manager, who if he’s luck, may get to Alex Smith levels of stats and wins - basically your need a loaded team just to get to the playoffs.

Mahomes is a good counter point to Smith, as he was able to elevate the players around him. Mac hasn’t and doesn’t do that. In less games - Cam gave Julian Edelman a Career game (despite playing with Brady) He elevated Nkeal to his best season (very hard to do) had no James White security blanket and still scored 66% of the teams TDs.

Bills arrogance is going to tank that team and I hope he takes Mac with him.

Mac was solid as a rookie. in fact, he was the best rookie qb last season.

Cam was garbage and if he was any good, he would be playing. he was terrible in NE as a QB. as a runningback, he was decent.

It sucked watching Cam. MJ is actually fun to watch and as said above was the best rookie QB of his class.

How about Julio Jones to the Buccs? That team is loading up. No injuries that is a SB team. I think Brady just wants one more and to go out on top.

TB will this season by game 7ish break the 100k passing record which has never been done. Likely will not be done again unless running the football becomes almost nonexistent. Next closest is Brees who is retired and down by 15k. 3rd place is Peyton retired down by 20k. The only active players are roughly 48k away. That stat is just mind boggling.


My fear is Brady has started the 'super team' thing in the NFL like what happened in the NBA. I am not sure other QBs will be able to replicate it given how the NFL is set up but you never know. Last thing I think any of us want. It would be fun as a TB fan to see him continue to dominate for a few more years but I think his career is over...I would love to see Gronk come back rested and healthy right at the last moment. Talk about a power house of an offense. Who the hell do you cover?

In Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers, Newton only threw for 69 yards and a touchdown.

In Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football, Newton threw for 34 yards and rushed for 24 yards before being benched in favor of Jarrett Stidham in the third quarter during the 38–9 loss.

Panthers:
Newton remained the starter for the Week 12 loss to the Miami Dolphins, but was benched in the fourth quarter for Walker after completing 5 of 21 passes for 92 yards, two interceptions, and a 5.8 passer rating. His 23.8 completion percentage was the lowest for a quarterback with at least 20 attempts since Joey Harrington in 2004.

Cam also lost all five games he started in.

Brady is just transcendent - he’s the exception to the rule, and per him, it’s because his wife is a witch and uses black magic. Hard to argue it isn’t true when he’s head and shoulders above everyone else and carried Bills sorry rosters for 20 years. Used to be a Big Brady, fan, and I love the dominance, but he’s made it so that no one looks exceptional unless they can mimic him in some way, and that’s kinda boring.

That being said, he retires on this SB win and takes a shot at Bill on his way out - the Patriots finish 9-8, and Mac gets exposed as a game manager backup QB that he is.

Cam beat Mac Jones in camp. Mac is a literally trash, and you guys are pretending he’s Brady incarnate. He threw the ball once in the Buff game because his arm was so weak, he couldn’t be trusted to throw to the wind - and got BTFO on the 2 subsequent meetings.

cam threw 8tds to 10ints. that is not good, no matter how you spin it. He then went to carolina and went 0-5 while throwing 4tds to 5ints.

Cam also literally had 4th string receivers with worst separation in the NFL in NE. He was in an unwinnable situation, and still scored 22TDs.

Carolina had the worst Oline and asked Cam to come mid season to save their dumpster fire. Right now, Darnold is lighting up Mayfield, and Cam was better than Darnold.

So when Cam says there aren't 32 guys better than him, the eye test says I believe him.

Darnold was injured and put on IR. Thats why they brought in Cam. Once Darnold came off IR, he took over for Cam. Darnold won 4 games vs cams 0
