I like the Oilers too even though I'm a Kings fan....I'd personally rather see them trade the pick to get a solid 1st pairing D-man plus a 2nd round pick....they have a ton of talent up front, but need to solidify their blue line. I think Talbot could turn into a good starting goalie also.

Kings blow it tonight, end up with Sharks in the first round and go down after losing first 2 at home.
I almost picked up seats for second game but my son plays Friday and the game date is still TBD

Kings are not out for division title..depends on Anaheim tomorrow. Kings have edge as far as wins go. Ducks must win for division.

How do you figure kings are done? Two cups in recent years and proof of their hardiness. Ducks play Caps tomorrow...sure ducks have something to play for but caps want to finish tight as well.

Done regular season. They have to pull for Caps if they want at least a round off from the Sharks. I think Sharks are a bigger nemesis at this point than Ducks but neither are pushovers. Nashville isn't a sure loser either

You know, the Preds are all about Rinne. I think any of the Pacific teams can Crack him. As far as playoffs go, no one is a sure loser. Hockey is very unpredictable..probably the most of any sport. I was hoping the Kings would win tonight...not that it is any kind of advantage for the Sharks...the ducks and Sharks seem to get more physical. The Kings are Quick to shut us down.

They're playing the Flyers. If they can't beat Philthy in a best of 7, they didn't deserve the president's trophy. Last night the Caps showed what they are capable of if every player puts in 100%. Right now, as a Caps fan, I'd really like to steer clear of the Penguins if I can. Other than that I think the Caps can beat anyone in their Conference.

Lived in DC metro for 20+ years before I moved down here. Got hooked on the Caps and hockey at an early age. Got hit by a puck off of the stick of Rod Langway at one of my first games, at the old Capital Centre in MD (it hurt, but man did the Caps staff load up the little kid with a ton of swag!). Started playing hockey at around age 13, stopped playing just before I moved down here due to blown out knees. I'm a die-hard Caps fan, don't think that will ever change

My favorite sports time of year! Hockey playoffs, where there are a couple of high intensity games on every day(for the first round) And especially when my team is in!

Go Wings. Limped in to keep the 25 year streak alive. Probably not much hope to go deep in the playoffs this year (sadly). As for the poor caps fans I have read in here, it is the second season now. I wouldn't worry about their "post clinch" performance. Everybody focuses on staying healthy and being ready to make a run. Ovi's hat trick... c'mon man. I think they'll go deep - we will see who comes out on top though.

Being a jaded Washington DC sports fan, even if we don't make it all the way this year, it was one hell of a regular season. I haven't seen shit like that from a DC sports team since the '91 Redskins.
