I'm not under any illusion. We all know that there are those that will protect and those that will cower. From your positions here I can infer which you'd be. That's ok, there are always sheepdogs willing to protect the sheep regardless of what wolves are there without excuses. The Jews learned that lesson the hard way and won't make that mistake again and many of us learn from others mistakes.

Ask black Americans if the Civil War was worth it and needed to be fought. My GGGF was a sheepdog and fought for the cause and showed his mettle. You just keep making excuses and nonsensical arguments.

No, not all amendments hold equal weight. Remember the 18th Amendment (Prohibiton)? It was repealed by the 21st Amendment. Ergo, the 18th and the 21st Amendment cannot have equal weght because they are mutually exclusive. Ergo, your assertion is false.

Asinine is someone who makes a preposterous claim like yours with not one lick of evidence here to back it up. I never even came close to typing or thinking that.

Ok let's go back 80 years to make a point. I dont know about your analogy either. I mean it was most of the country and the military oppressing a smaller group.

Exactly.

But they have guns!

Cool, so does everyone else and you're outnumbered by a pretty big margin.

The principle is the same today as it was then, some things don't change.
Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Call it turtle or sheep, You've already established you'll die on your knees whimpering then die on your feet fighting for your life and your families like a man.

You should probably calm your tits right now.

I'm fairly confident I've seen more combat than you.

You might have then again perhaps not.
The only thing you've demonstrated here is you talk like an omega and would roll over and offer your throat to the alpha dog.
Not the type of Veterans I know and served with, thankfully.

The Second Amendment has three thoughts in it -
1: An organized force is necessary to ensure freedom.
2: Organization means control, control means power, power corrupts
3: A corrupt government will oppress the people, therefore --- the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

This has nothing to do with self defense - it's about keeping a corrupt government in check.

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II Right to Bear Arms. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Bump: I'm seeing new people on the politics section, and am wondering what their position might be.
