honda vs bmw...

I personally don't hate Honda. What I do hate is people that drive Honda and Toyota and think they are better than everyone else. I have no problem with an S2k out running a Z4. What I do have problems with is when people think a fucking stock RSX is the king of the road and that it could out run a BMW in the twisties. As long as people give credit where it's due I'm good with that.

why is there always the honda bmw battle? get a life already and be happy with what you have. Yes i owned a souped up 2000 si and no i will never buy one agian. why---cuz it hurts my back, its to noisy and jumps too much. plus it attracts the wrong crowd-- i dont care how much "slower" the bmw is but when you show up to a buisness event/ or wedding, pick your ride correctly. im just saying

on the other hand my moms new odyssey is the shit!
ps. i hated when my fing quarter panels and trunk shaked with the bass up on the si

+1. Is a 10s Honda cool? yes. Do I want to drive it everyday ? No. Is a 13s BMW 7series slow? Yes,kind of. Do I want to drive one daily? Yes... All comes down to what is ur ultimate purpose? if u want a cheap car that can be mod superfast and cost a little money, go ahead buy a honda civic. If u want something nice for yourself, your family but you are not ready to give up the fun yet. Get yourself a BMW.

I wish this post wouldn't bump the thread up, but I have to throw in something I just experienced today.

Went to a starbucks because I needed to jack some wi-fi and I came across two guys talking around their modded S2000 and Neon SRT-4. I complimented the guy's S2000 and they both looked at my car then back at me with this disgusted look. I just find it funny how arrogant they were.

I can appreciate a car of any make and origin so long as it isn't a ricer or a bro truck.

I don't know about Hondas but as far as other Japanese manufacturers are concerned, I know a few vehicles they make where no BMW can hang in certain situations...

example : Toyota Supra - good luck building a BMW engine against it or dragging one against it. (Any M or BMW turbo motor included)

example : Mitsubishi Evo - What new BMW that's that cheap can do anything it can?

BMW owners generally dismiss Japanese Brands as being inferior somehow but there are plenty of Japanese vehicles that would dump on BMW's, anyone who says otherwise is a fanboy. What BMW's do hold an advantage in against most brands is that they are amazing daily drivers that are good for everything all around, but the question is; do they excell in anything?

Reliability - definitely no

Performance - much better options for that too (most, including M cars are way too heavy these days)

Luxury - very good but that basis alone gives you about 10 other brands to choose from

All around daily driver - excellent but BMW is slowly losing this battle as well as they are losing their driver focus and going more towards the mainstream to offer vehicles in almost any class

i love honda/acura. was a fan and still a fan. I sold my m3 and bought an old acura. now i have better sleep at night knowing the next morning to work, it will have no issue.

not as pretty/fast as bmw, but they work just right and has none of the stupid electronic issue the germans usually have.

As a S2000 owner I love Honda and my past hondas but lately they have slipped and need to step up and give people something new and fun to drive with some power instead of these Eco slush boxes
