Spheres. BMW Design cooperation with Alfredo Häberli
BIMMERPOST NEWS Spheres. BMW Design cooperation with Alfredo Häberli For this year’s Salone del Mobile, BMW Design joined forces with Alfredo Häberli. Inspired by the BMW Design leitmotif “Precision & Poetry”, the Swiss designer invites to a philosophical journey into the future of mobility. The film documents the intense personal debate and the development process with the aid of numerous research documents, sources of inspiration, drawings and sculptural objects. That thing is beautiful! Note to Hollywood. Use this in a scifi movie. It's really cool

It's old school as much of it is done on the computer but theirs a very very fine detail you just can't get on the tube. The car companies a while ago tried to phase clay out and go full PC as it was cheaper but their was something lost in the surfacing of the vehicle. Some old methods just work better. |

I might
I don't like the idea of having a tuned version of an existing engine. I like my engines special and uniquely developed. Now, would you rather see nonsense like this "design" or a new M engine? EDIT: I respect both the S55 and S63, amazing engines. High power, sharp throttle, rather efficient. But the missing piece is the exclusivity (and sound). At least they could have first developed the S63, and then "detune" it to to be a N63. This is what MB with their new AMG V8 will probably do. |
