What to do with BMW Ultimate Care+

Hi guys,

Looking for some tips on what to do with the BMW Ultimate Care+ 4 bundle I purchased for the 2021 BMW G20 (330i xDrive) now that the car is gone. Well I traded-in for an STi at a Subaru dealer in Chicago. They didn't want this bundle transferred so I didn't do the transfer. Local BMW dealer has been utterly useless on this matter.

I know this bundle can't be refunded in NY state, not even at pro-rated amount, after 60-days from purchase date. Is there any alternate approach I could get any use out of this care bundle? Can it be transferred/sold to another owner (or on to another BMW)? Or should I consider forgetting that $4700 spent on it?

I found some info. here on the original post on this forum LINK, but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

Did you purchase the agreement in NY state? If so, then there isn't much you can do to unravel it and it is a sunk cost.

If you purchased it in CA, as many have done via the popular dealer on the forum who offers good pricing, then you would be able to unravel it at a pro-rated rate.

The rules on how you can unravel is based on state of purchase for the agreement not state of purchase or registration for the vehicle itself.

Which dealer is it? Is there a thread about this? Have a family member currently considering a CPO bmw and I'm trying to help them find better pricing for extended warranty and ultimate care+. Thanks.
