Driving at this level , I don't see who can beat MAX in 2023..
35 wins for Max in total and looking at the latest from Merc for '23 it looks as the tech from RB that they want to copy will backfire on them, return of the bouncing Merc 'roo

All I can say to the retiring hippie git is good luck with his tree hugging programme for the rest of his life as he thinks there are more important things in life than F1.
Good riddance Vettel.

The final 10 laps of the race my daughter and I got out of the couch and were standing litterally at arm's length right in front of the TV rooting hard for Charles to hang on to P2 with his old tires. We kept cheering and danced when he made it to the finish line.

After getting getting Ferrari'd so often this season, all's well that ends well for Charles. Well-deserved P2 in the WDC and WCC. Wished that Ferrari had offered him more chances for close-combat with Verstappen - as happened during the first races this season. The very best of this F1 season ended Top 2.

First race of the 2022 F1 season (Bahrain - March 20, 2022): DNF for Verstappen at lap 54/57 (engine issue) and DNF for Perez at lap 56/57 (engine issue).

Mercedes-AMG posted this tweet right after that race (5:40pm):

(see also https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/10670...to-see-it.html)

Exactly eight months later: the 2022 F1 season ended with the final WDC and WCC results awarded.

From hindsight, the Schadenfreude of Mercedes-AMG after the first race didn't age well.

Fanastic race from Max - and to think he was maybe racing 70-80% and still ran away from the field. Wish Checo could have been in it more than he was but just missed WDC P2. Charles is more than deserving as he is one of the few I think may be able to challenge Max, but I still Max is the most complete and well rounded driver on the grip.
Hopefully RB deploy the new chassis and some upgrades to keep well ahead of the field. I do want to continue to see him win like this, break records and win at least 8 WDCs. His record season is even more impressive considering how close the field was.

The new 2023 upgraded ("lightweight") Red Bull cockpit-tube will be really interesting .
I heard It's at least 8 KG lighter !

Checo was saying Max held him up mid race with his two stop strategy as opposed to Max's one but it just came down to too much tire deg on Checo's car.

There was a moment that MAX lifted it , to give Checo DRS behind him .
Even then Checo wasn't able to catch his DRS opportunity to run away from Charlie .

It's like we've seen it over the whole season . Checo is just not fast enough .

Charlie was always faster than Checo .Charlie is the well deserved P2 in the WDC !

There was only one driver who could fight with MAX in this season .
And that was Charlie ...

Checo's was unlucky with the DRS swaps with HAM before the latter retired then the delay from the other two otherwise I think he would have caught Chas but as we know if you are behind Max too much without his tire know how you are always struggling.

Yes, this extremely close field.... F1 racing is garbage these days. After about 30 laps there's huge gaps between all of the cars.

Im tired of seeing a Red Bull coming way back from a football field behind and overtake this season..

im sad that season ended and there wont be any races for more than 100'ish days but at the same im more happy that season ended.. next year seems like full of races.. thats awesome..

congrats to Max and RB for ruling the season..
