BTCC Snetterton on now

On ITV3 now the BTCC cars are visiting the unbearably hot Norfolk track together with the huge rear winged Porsche Carrera Cup cars

Four time champ Turkington in the rear drive BMW 330i is leading the championship now which are ideal for the car on the sweltering track and on pole for the 20th round.

Turkington on reduced hybrid power because of success penalty (no more success ballast for this season) winning race 1 but manages to stay ahead of Ingram at the start and probably saving the remaining 2 laps worth hybrid for the end laps..damn it's a safety car now

No matter it's the 63rd BTCC win for Turki as he holds off Hill in another BMW and furthers his points in the championship with the front wheel drive cars struggling in the conditions and some breaking down with overheated electrics.
Points are Turki' on 272 to Ingram's 252

Turki' starting 9th in the reverse grid line up for the third race and is still hybrid penalised
..but manages with a 6th place finish while Ingram gets 4th in his Hyundai so minimal change in the points.
