Awesome Price For Stainless Tips
I came across this site looking for M5 wheels and found the Corsa style tips for $69 a pair. That seemed too cheap so I called them to verify since it says sold in pairs, so I thought it was $138 a pair, nope $69 a pair, how can you go wrong?
I'm going to order a couple pairs for the M5 exhaust I just put on my car. I just hope they fit in the cutout in the diffuser. Corsa Style Tips

I picked up a set of 4" tips on eBay identical to the ones I posted, but they look like they might be too big, also I'll have to cut the pipes on the muffler way back, almost to the valve to get them to tuck back at least with the edge of the diffuser - I don't want them sticking out past, IMO it looks kinda cheesy.
Maybe I'll see if I can find a set of 3.5" ones, they might look a little less ostentatious.

Here's the eBay posting: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121732162850...162850&vxp=mtr
I'm running M5 mufflers with an M5 rear diffuser. I did get a set of 3.5's and the inner diameter is the same as the pipe coming off the mufflers. I still haven't installed either one yet, but I'm leaning toward the 4.0's they have a meaner or more aggressive look, but I'll have to pull the mufflers back a little so I have some meat to attach an adapter to change from the 2-1/2" muffler pipe to the 3" inlet of the tips so the tips don't stick out the past the edge of the diffuser. If you do it before I do post some pics.

I just picked up some m5 RPI mufflers w 3.5" tips for my 550 so these will hold me off for a while. But I feel 4" tips just fill the diffuser up much better.
Plus I'd hate to get rid of the RPI tips with the RPI engraving on em. But definitely post some pics when you get em put on! |

Just a heads up I purchased some tips from ebay that had seams in random places inside and outside the length of the tips. They were clever to hide them in the photos. Luckily the seller returned them. GL with yours!

This is my car with 3.5" from Megan Exhaust (note that those are rolled tip but no as tick as OEM): Vs stock M5 (M5 tip are smaller but ticker) I believe that 3.5" look the best in this comparison but I would prefer my Megan tip to be ticker like OEM Edit: This is probably 4" (not sure if it is because of 4" or valves but I an not sure it look right) Last edited by Jayphil; 08-22-2015 at 07:59 AM.. |
