Honda to stay in F1 until 2025... but did they even leave?

Well its been rumoured they never 'really left.

The news that Honda is staying in F1 hasn't gone down well with those that had Redbull threaten to leave without an engine freeze. Oh the politics of F1 hey, suspect a few choice words and negotiations in the coming months around this.

This has been known since the beginning though. Honda pulled out but left their engine d&d team for RBPT to support their engine until the next engine regs. That's why the RB has HRC logos.

Agreed I always thought they were there but I suspect behind the scenes the threats won't be forgotten by many. Next RB ask oh and by the way can we, the rest might be no F-off you burned us before suck on this... But we shall see.

Ultimately the freeze helps everyone to reduce costs so its not pointless but it will be interesting how this plays out.
