I've been looking at these as well for a daily beater whenever our Explorer gives up the ghost. What year is this one and did you get a decent deal on it? How does it drive? I was not impressed by the Jetta, but the Passat was a pleasure to drive.

It's a 2011 with 25k miles. To me it drives great for what it is. Obviously coming from the M roadster it's night and day getting into a 2.0T front wheel drive car, but out of the other vehicles I tried this had the best ride. Also gets great mileage compared to the roadster. I paid like 16.5k for it CPO. Honestly I think if I had waited longer and looked around more I could of gotten a better deal, but I think it's a great car for the price. I did not like the Jetta's either I saw a few. I think you get a LOT of car for $16,500. Congrats! And I really love the design of these.

I'm now the proud owner of 2 titanium pins. Won't have the pics of the pins for another 4 weeks...nor will I be able to tell the exact cost of them for another 8 weeks

Compound fracture of the radius, simple fracture of the ulna...with the radius popping out of the left side of the wrist.

3 hours in the emergency room

Followed by 6 hours of surgery

Not only did he finish his shift on the ice...but he hasn't taken one pain pill yet. Tough kid - his season's over though

I have one of these as well. The batteries don't last long enough for me on these so I built my own. You can certainly get some interesting perspectives on things with these.

went for $956 for (4) 245/45/20 Firestone Firehawk GT's....

not a terrible price since they gave me the "buy 3 get 1 free" deal, but still...

been there man. broke my left wrist the second to last game of the season in my second year of college.

finished my shift and tried to keep playing but couldn't hold my stick with my bottom (left) hand. so much adrenaline you can't feel anything, and then the pain hits you like a freight train.

i didn't have a bone coming out though, just broke mine into a triangle up into the top and inner tendons of my wrist.

seems like a strong kid. best of luck to him getting back on the ice.
