If I had mad money to burn on things no-one really needs, I'd go with the 507.

He neglected to mention that Fisker also designed the VH Aston Martin Vantage. A very very gifted designer.
Love the Z8. Absolutely beautiful and special car. |

It certainly meets all criteria for past collectible BMWs:
*Two Doors *Very Expensive when new *Produced in limited numbers *Very difficult for dealers to sell when new Nothing explains why currently the Alpina version (automatic) is eclipsing the stick-shift in value—other than rich people can't be bothered shifting? Or it belies the true nature of the car as a boulevard-cruiser for profiling rather than actual spirited driving? No question of it being beautiful and the rapid increase in value of the 507 over the past decade certainly doesn't hurt it, either! |

Last year I saw one one parked on the street in New Orleans, filthy and looking unloved. It's always surprising to see a rare vehicle being daily driven like a 25 year old Tercel.

One of our execs got allocated one of these, and the dealership totaled it on a service visit. They replaced it with a later number, and they gave him a 760iL as the story goes to compensate. Believe he sold it for $250,000 over a decade ago.

I had the Kyosho TWINE version, very affordable at the time lol. Even they have increased in value, I see they sell for about double what they were new.

It definitely is a beauty, but I’d have to go for the 507 if I had the choice. Here is the Z8 at the factory museum in South Carolina.

The Z8 original MSRP was around $130,000. So a low mileage Z8 for sale in 2023 for $250,000 is not a bad purchase as it just a few $Ks over the early 2000's MSRP when adjusting for time value of money.
And just a tick faster than the E86 M Coupe |
