Not a huge Rush fan, but they're all incredible musicians ... including Neil Peart.

But, my list would definitely include Ginger Baker, Max Weinberg, Carmine Appice (as above but more for Cactus and Beck Bogart Appice). and Stewart Copeland.

Dave Grohl!?!? That is preposterous! He has average talent for a drummer, and was nowhere near the most talented behind the kit as some of the other grunge bands of that era (i.e. Dave Abbruzzese). What is your criteria? Oh my gosh this is almost embarrassing...

What about Neil Peart, Mitch Mitchell, Danny Carey, Carter Beauford, Fredrik Andersson (to name a very few)????

Would this have been the band that wasn't in it for fame or money but the lead guy jumped in front of any camera that he saw??? I used to really like them as a teenager and when I got older and realized what a damn buffoon that guy was I was a little embarrassed about knowing how to play 80% of their catalog.
