Help with credit card dispute

Seeking advice

Purchased a CF diffuser from a company called carbon addiction back in February.
Never heard anything from them even after emails and messaging them via social media.

A month later I filed a dispute with my cc and emails to cancel my order.
Several weeks after that, I get a package from them with diffuser. Australian based company but the package came from China.

By this point, I had already purchased a different diffuser from a site vendor.

Contacted the company to return, but of course there is no address on their website, no return address on package, and no replies to my email.

My CC just notified me that they are reversing the dispute in favor of the company as they provided proof of delivery and said the only way I can keep the dispute open is by proof of return which i am unable to do as there is no address.

Am I screwed? I have multiple emails saved showing attempts to make the return.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Put it up for sale, take your losses, and move on. Perhaps there are lessons to be learned, perhaps not.
I would also post a “review” of the transaction in the appropriate car forum.

You could probably continue to pursue a return; however, it's likely not your highest and best use. Take an 'L' on this one and put it up for sale to recoup some of your monies. As you perform a post mortem on this experience consider not buying from sketchy outfits to save a few coins.

Have you told CC company that you have no return info & the seller is not responding to your request for a return address?

Return the other one to the site vendor, or just sell either

The diffuser shipped from China. It went through customs. There's an import record. In other-words there's an address you could ship it back to. Unfortunately, you'll be on the hook for the shipping costs I suspect.

If you didn't open the box you can write refused delivery and drop it off to USPS.

But then how can he prove to his cc company that he sent it back?

I'd just throw it up on eBay and recoup as much as I could.

Doesn’t UPS tracking information show shipper / shipping address if you enter the tracking number on the UPS website?

No, not full address, just City/State/Country it came from.

I went through some CC dispute BS recently. The curve ball for me was the a$$hole merchant sent debt collections after me, but that was after they didn't respond to the dispute for 90 days which meant I had won the dispute. My lesson learned was a CC dispute can get you your money back but it's not necessarily the end of the line.

Try selling it, you'll lose more shipping it back imo.

Perhaps leave a bad review on the company so others are warned.

You're right. My bad. Probably not as easy to get additional info from USPS as UPS.
