I was very disappointed in True Detective season 3. I even liked season 2 better.
But Stephen Dorff was good, except for the old man makeup. |

Really? We are definitely complete opposites as I liked S3 much more than S2. I think it's due to the fact that I really couldn't get into any of the characters of S2, whereas in S3 both main characters were outstanding and I enjoyed the timelines. They did a good job of having 3 main timelines (although there were 5 altogether) and not making it confusing or hard to follow.

So I was really looking forward to DC's: DOOM PATROL! Basically a team of misfit Superzeroes. It is very entertaining in the vein of TITANS.
When I watched the first episode about 4min in, there was a gratuitous sex scene with a chick getting banged from behind! Normally I welcome this sort of thing. Unfortunately, not only were my 2 boys 13 & 10 (which I could have easily explained it in only way a very articulate dad like me can) sitting there but so was my wife! And the remote was not close at hand to make matters worse! I had to jump up and grab the remote to stop it. Of course I got quite an earful from my lovely wife. !&#@*!!!* Anywho.... The show is actually pretty interesting with intriguing characters and story line. Just not for kiddos.

I loved Narcos season's 1 and 2. Especially since it was somewhat accurate in historical detail. We are now trying season 3.
Next will be Russian Doll. Has anyone watched that? |

I've been watching and it's pretty good. I get it on Space TV, but I doubt you'll get that station.....if you get a chance give it a shot.

Man in the High Castle Season 4 (and last one *sad*) coming out this fall, new teaser trailer dropped.
In more sad news, going to finish up Into the Badlands soon. Series has been canceled so I think only eight episodes or so left starting in late March. |

Finished season 3 of True Detective last weekend. Thought it was decent, but still not as good as season 1. While the plot was more convoluted than necessary, the acting was excellent and agree as well on Stephen Dorff.

For those of you interested in Earth Science.... One Strange Rock on Netflix is amazing. I’m super impressed with the cinematography and lengths they went to for the series. It is very informative and a great way to educate those on our planets history and future. Will Smith does a good job narrating. Definitely worth checking out! I’m currently on episode 8.

1) Ozark -- Love this show. Can't wait for season 3 whenever it comes out.
2) Narcos -- Fantastic, though I haven't yet watched Mexico. 3) The Punisher -- very dark, certainly not everyone's cup of tea, sad they canceled it. 4) True Detective -- great first season, not so much second season. I should give season 3 a shot. 5) Doctor Who -- I've only seen the first episode since Jodie Whittaker took over, but plan to continue watching. I'm behind on multiple other shows as well, and have plenty of others on my list I haven't even started yet. |
