You Know Who You Are

I wanted to say thank you. When ever the rough times hit me hard, I can always rely on a few posters here to do their best to soften the impact.

Anyway, be as kind to people irl as you are here for strangers. I absolutely adore you all.

Anna

I’ve tried to love you, but you just let me hump your leg.

Hope you (and the kids/hubby) are doing ok, as we say a lot, some things just plain suck sometimes.

You're an epic leg humper!! Creds for the skill!

They do, the kids are at the cabin and my sister and I decided we will not fade out, we go all in drink or bust!

Again, you know who you are. I needed you and you were all in. I truly hope I can do the same for you for when ever, what ever.

Shakira could you think of books a kid wants to read about flying, and more advanced ones on planes.

Kissa, was put down today. I can't tell anyone irl the reason, and the kids own dog is still sick one with no explanation no labs or scans support. I would appreciate if you'd help me in keeping L reading.

The top ten must-read flying books

•Piece of Cake – Derek Robinson.
•The Right Stuff – Tom Wolfe.
•First Light – Geoffrey Wellum.
•West with the Night – Beryl Markham.
•Biggles Pioneer Air Fighter W.E. Johns.
•Propellerhead – Anthony Woodward.
•Bomber – Len Deighton.
•F-4 Phantom - A Pilot's Story - Robert Prest.

Of course, I am a little biased on the last one.

I'll humbly add three to this already excellent list:

•Yeager: An Autobiography - Chuck Yeager
•Fighter Pilot: The Memoirs of Legendary Ace Robin Olds - Robin Olds
•Viper Pilot: A Memoir of Air Combat - Dan Hampton

I'll read them first. Gimme a week, I don't expect on having any free hours for a few months.

Again Shakira, this is a two way deal. Think if any of your grandkids want to have a local European source, I'm all in.

From the begin of May, we are hit by heat waves and a few thunder storms put our streets and houses under water followed by mudflows !
That's pretty much what we got from rain . From May till today !

For the next 2 weeks we will get temps between 28 and 30°C (in the sun 40°C+) So still no rain , no water..
My fish in my garden pond prey for water . The water evaporates by the heat and I have to add water every week .

So Anna , my potatoes ain't no good ...

K. I'll have to work on it since Kindle works for English mainly here. I can type them up to a text file after ordering.

I'm going to let you take one guess at how much it bothers me that you said "Top TEN must-read flying books" and then proceeded to list only eight.

Just guess.

At least give two more so that my OCD is assuaged. To paraphrase Lups, for the love of coffee, give us two more.
