I'm trying to upgrade suspension on my F36 440i Gran Coupe RWD and I'm going with the following:

KONI Special Active Front: 87451356
KONI Special Active Rear: 82451357
F82 Bumpstops: F: 31336859768, R: 31337847662
Eibach Pro Kit Springs: NEED PART NUMBER

I already have Millway Street Camber Plates that I will be mounting these to.

I looked at Eibach's US website and it says the part number I need for the 440i Gran Coupe RWD is E10-20-031-04-22, however, Eibach's German website says the correct part number is E10-20-031-02-22

TLDR do I need E10-20-031-04-22 or E10-20-031-02-22?

Interesting. I looked them up on the US and German websites and got the same spring kit part numbers.

The German catalog is nice because you can delve deeper into the individual front and rear spring part numbers and physical specs of those springs.

So the front springs on those two kits are exactly the same. The only difference between kits is the rear springs which are only very slightly different. The US rear springs use a very slightly thicker wire 14.2mm versus 14.0mm for the European kit. If you were holding the two springs you couldn’t tell that one wire was 0.2mm thicker than another without a caliper to measure them. For example the thickness of a dime is 6x more than 0.2mm.

The height of the US rear spring is 300mm versus 294mm for the European spring. This is also very tiny. 6mm is less than 1/4 inch. Again if you were holding the two springs in your hands it would be difficult to tell that one was 2% taller than the other.

Who knows why Eibach recommends one kit for the US market and another for the European market. The front springs are identical so they are going to drive the same. Maybe they assume the Americans put more stuff in the trunk on vacations or on trips to Home Depot.

If I were you I’d get the US -04 spring kit. It is readily available to you to buy. And It’s a smidge stronger spring for those times when you load the car up with people and cargo.

Is there anything else that I would need apart from the shocks, struts, and bump stops? I already have new dust sleeves

You didn’t say what year or mileage. It often helps to replace rubber spring perches and top hats.

2018 with 92k miles. I have Millway street camber plates.

would you recommend just looking up the OEM spring perches on realoem and ordering those?

That’s what I did. Either from GetBMWParts website or FCP Euro
