DeleteMe & the NPD breach

After hearing a deepdive on the breach, and the host of Security Now describing reports that those enrolled in "DeleteMe" were not appearing in the results, I read a lot of reviews and decided to sign up (sites like deleteme don't do anything magical, that you can't do yourself, it's just tedious and time consuming).

I got my first report a couple weeks ago, and our information was submitted to 51 data brokers for removal.

I just got an update email from them and decided to search for myself and DW again. Of the half dozen or so sites I checked, my info only came up on one of them, so it's definitely working.

I've known about removal request sites for a long time, just never bothered. I wish I'd bothered.. maybe my info wouldn't have been in the NPD dump.
