I'm in a similar situation having recently sold my '18 F80 comp. I test drove the C63 and while it looks and sounds great the ride was too stiff for my liking. Ride comfort is more of a priority this time around so I'm paying a lot of attention to that when shopping cars. I know the C43 exists but with no V8 it doesn't appeal to me as much. Waiting on the IS500 to release and see how I like it.
I think the G80 looks great and all but I'm ready for something different from the F80 I had. The G80 is pretty much the same formula just slightly improved. I'm actually looking for a new RS5 sportback at the moment but there are few within a reasonable distance to me in the spec that I am looking for. And if there is one the stealerships aren't budging on price at the moment. Luckily I got nothing but time so I'm in no rush. |

Comfort is also why I started looking at the Macan Turbo, GLC63s, X3m Comp (not that comfortable), but I just don't know if I'll regret an SUV after a few months.

If SUV's are in the mix, the Macan GTS/Turbo is also an excellent pick, although they are better when custom ordered than found off the lot. GLC AMG is also a great choice, although will still be a bit stiff, although less than the C AMG. X3 M rides the worst of the bunch. Macan and RS5 are probably the best choices still, although the RS5 is probably more practical than the Macan despite not being an SUV.

I have a Macan GTS for a daily and it’s great but the power is somewhat lacking. Very comfortable ride with the air suspension. Def get the full leather interior and 21” sport classic wheels if buying used, those are must have options IMO.
The Macan turbo with performance package is the best trim but extremely hard to find them in the first place. There’s usually only 1-2 for sale nationwide and often have stupidly high asking prices. Overall I’d say it’s a great car if you have a second car to go with it for fun. As my only car I’d want something a little more powerful. Maybe check out a Range Rover SVR, those are awesome and very comfortable with amazing sound, looks, and performance. |

One additional benefit of keeping the RS5 order is that I still have my $4.5k winter wheel and tire setup from my previous RS5. I know I could sell them but I definitely wouldn't even get half that cost back.

Next year's Macan GTS gets the current Turbo motor, so it should be a good bit cheaper than the current Turbo. I think it's not out until Q1 though, may not help you.

Since the G80 is not under consideration, I'm going to show my bias and parrot for the Giulia Quadrofoglio. Just give it a test drive, trust me. Your perception of handling and how fast a car can steer will change. It is a street legal go-kart. Interior is no Audi but was updated nicely for the 2020 refresh. Material and build quality are solid in the cabin, ride is compliant and livable. But keep in mind there is no AWD option or sunroof.
C63 is nice, but main novelty is the V8. Otherwise it's just an alright handling car. More of a straight-line brute. Unnecessarily stiff ride and you feel like you're sitting in a bathtub due to the high belt-line and dash. On the topic of the Macan, I can rave all day as I do in other threads. I drive a family member's pretty frequently. However, I notice immediately once I get back into the Alfa that a CUV cannot replace a proper sport sedan if you truly want the most "connected" driving experience. Plus I agree with you that the Macan is extremely common. Everybody has one, you need to get it in a wild color to feel like you're driving something special.

I had a ‘18 SQ5 for 9 month which was very unusual because historically I have kept my cars anywhere from 3-8 years. And the SQ5 was a great SUV! Practical, smooth quiet ride (air suspension was great), looked and sounded good.. but you never forget you were in a SUV. The weight and top heaviness was always there. Make no mistake about it these sports SUV’s simply cannot replace sports sedans or sports cars. I had regret settle in a month after getting the SQ5 but mistakenly thought I would get used to it. Never did so sold it.

Not sure if it would fit in your budget due to US/Canada price discrepancy, but honestly forget the RS5 and get a CT5-V Blackwing. There will never be another RWD sedan with a 668 horsepower V8 and proper manual transmission.

Seems like a nice car, but I can't do GM. It's not a brand snob thing (since after all it's a Cadillac), but I just don't like their design whatsoever. Plus I need an automatic, I'd love a manual, but it has to be auto.

We have a 2021 M5 that just arrived with a sticker around $108k. Least expensive one in the country. Not Competition, just "normal".
I also have a confirmed (and sold) order for a 2022 M5 CS scheduled to be built in September which will have a sticker of around $140k. Neither had any problem with missing or unavailable options. |

I've decided to keep the RS5 order. There was a C63s sedan that was available now, and a G80 M3 Competition xDrive that would be arriving in a few weeks I could snag. At the end of the day, although both really nice (and better performance) options, they weren't exactly how I would factory build them and I think that would forever annoy me. The RS5 Sportback is exactly the options I want and undercuts both in price (not that price was tops on my list but it is a bonus). Thanks for all the suggestions, and now it's just a waiting game.
