"videos were shown to Stewards where 7 incidents when cars were touched by the jacks without being further penalised"

and later on 1000 words that can be paraphrased as "the stewards are morons".

they got deep pockets to hire some freelance youtubers to work for them for sure!

Fantastic race! Max's pace was unreal and he never even really tried to rush things...biding his time for easy passes. Good nearly flawless race from Checo, but let's be honest, had Max not had the issue in quali, he'd have been P1 and won this race. Glad to see Alo keep his podium place as well. Great drive from him too.

My issue isn't that PER won, he took advantage of Max's reliability issue, and drove to the win.

It's the fact that if both car were running right, no issues, he thinks he can beat VER.

But if we looked at Bahrain and years before that, Max out drives Checo, and by alot.

Normal circuits is a complete write off for PER, the only way he wins that is if Max has reliability issues, or else it'll be like last year where he gaps the field.

Jos is not the racer, I get it but yes, that was a clear snub that I think and feel was Jos being a divine assholia given Checo and his family have wholeheartedly supported Max's victories. No excuse whatsoever because everyone knows Perez's victory was because of Max's penalty. He clearly did not give a shit. Well, things work both ways in the world.

Anyways well done to Checo, he couldn't really lose with that advantage and even RUS has hinted that the RB's are so fast that he just let Max go.

Moving on from this it would be appropriate for Fred Vasseur to make a statement on what is the score with Ferrari at this early stage especially why the PU's from both cars were changed before the race.

Of course Max is not over joyed in finishing second, Webber and Vettel are two completely different characters.
Max is so used to winning that it is not in his character to be happy with second and to add that his sickness then technical problems wouldn't exactly make me smile if I was him.
Max was 'born on the track' and anything else is secondary.

Good god, the sheer amount of Verstappen fanboyism in this thread is just cringeworthy

I really don't get it. The guy is thoroughly un-likeable. A serial whinger with a potty mouth and amongst the least respectful on the grid. I recall DC having to remind him to thank his 99% home fan turnout at Zandvoort last year. A chip off the old block it seems.

Nah, this sounds like Hamilton you're describing, and it shows for the past 2 years.

Not the best car? Consistent whining and the attitude he gave the press after qualification and after the race, you can see he's finished. There's a reason why you can tell Mercedes garage right now has bad tension.

Everyone hates Max because he was winning and the current world champ, he gets along with everyone on the grid, except Hamilton and Ocon.

Max literally reminds Alonso of his younger self.

Also, with how Jos treated his son growing up, I'm surprised Max is how he is now, that shit ruins children, and they usually don't grow up like how Max does.

There's a reason why the Bottas and Hamilton era worked so well, Bottas knew he was the second driver, he never went against team orders until his final year, and was never a threat to Hamilton. In this case, Perez seriously thinks he can challenge for the WDC, when the last year, Max outdrove him. Bahrain was the same thing, he was 11 seconds behind by the end of the race, I also expect him to be the same on normal circuits. Unless Max has issues every qualifications that sets him in the back of the grid, Max will outdrive Checo any track.

What a superb job Adrian Newey is doing on the aero and weight reduction on the RB 19 so far, it's gone on to make Hamilton say he's never seen anything as fast as the RB with the way Max went past him though with the DRS wing opened.
It's pointless saying I'm looking forward to the Albert Park race and being a Max RB fan I want to see a comparison between Checo and Max with both their cars on song.

Loaded atmosphere at Red Bull during the post-race events, despite getting maximum WCC points. To my eyes it illustrated again that the relationship between the Verstappens (Max-Jos-Sophie) and Perez is broken beyond repair. Looks like it's strictly business now, no sympathy or favors for each other anymore.

I expect Red Bull to respect its contractuel commitments to keep Perez on board for this 2023 season, but IMHO on 26 Nov 2023 in Abu Dhabi, Perez will drive his last race for Red Bull (and maybe even in F1). I doubt that Red Bull will get him a life line for 2024.

Say what you want, but it's a good thing that there was no "Valtteri, this is James - we will invert positions in Turn 5" result-doping interference in camps Red Bull (VER-PER), Mercedes (HAM-RUS), Ferrari (LEC-SAI) and McLaren (NOR-PIA).

VER was not better than PER in yesterday's race. But for the mechanical issue, it would have been a toss-up between the two. VER could not, as a superior driver 9.5/10 times, close a mere 5 second gap on his teammate over 25 laps.

He was a shaving off a tenth almost every lap until he heard the high pitch whining sound and called it in and fell back. Checo's car has been problem free all weekend, while Max had every issue with his gearbox and driveshafts.

I hope next race both cars are problem free.

But if this was the same as last year, Max has all his issues in the first few races (including DNF) and then continues on to win almost every race from then on lol.

Perez starting from pole position already lost P1 before the first turn of the race. Lucky for him that Alonso got a penalty and that the RB19 has better performance than Alonso's Aston Martin. Perez also had the benefit of driving risk-free in clean air for most of the race.

Verstappen, on the other hand, climbed through the field from P15, on a street circuit, avoiding DNF crashes. A permanent high-pitched shrieking noise was clearly audible when Verstappen repeatedly radioed his concerns about the drive shaft of his car. Better P2 (+FL) than DNF.

Starting from pole position and finishing the race with a guy behind you in 5.355s who started P15 and who also clocked fastest lap. Guess who had a tougher day at the office on race day ?

Imagine if Verstappen had started from pole position and Perez from P15: conceivable that Perez would have ended P2 with ± 5s behind Verstappen ?

Senna's Monaco 1988 crash - Hubris by Senna: he was obsessively determined to pass the chequered flag as Monaco race winner while tailgating his nemesis Prost (almost doubling Prost). Eager to show off that he was better than Prost. So Senna kept on performing perfect laps in a crazy attempt to catch Prost ...until the proverbial race gods pulled the plug: Senna made a mistake and DNF'd. Prost went home with the race win.

Bruh, people should rewatch the race and scroll to when Max started complaining on the radio, that high pitch shrieking noise sounded like death, I could understand why Max was freaking out. It's a lot worst once you switched to onboard camera. Then you switch to Checo's onboard, and quiet as a hell.

Like something is up with Max's car, you can tell once he complained about it, he started driving slower, and eventually he didn't want to risk it and went for fastest lap at the end.

I think none of us here know the real story. Yes Jos trained Max to become the best driver in the world from a really young age. Of course he wanted Max to become the driver he never was. And that takes sacrefices.
But Max really really likes his dad. If he didn't, he wouldn't drag him all over the world with him.
And that Jos doesn't cheer for Checo...Jos is on team Max, not on team RB. For him it doesn't matter if Max looses from Checo, Hammy or any other driver.
He's been with Max his hole career, in so many teams
But I'm sure he's proud the way Max cut through the field and that it apparently takes P14 on the starting grid for Max not to win.

Am I a fan of Jos? Certainly not. He's a hothead. The opposite of Max.
But I do admire that he dedicated his life to train Max.
Maybe Jos being so on top of it pushing max always further and further kept Max with his feet on the ground.
And this is what sums up Max:

Verstappen: "What is the fastest lap?"
GP: "We are not concerned with that"
Verstappen: "But I am"
This says to me that Max only has 1 attitude, and that is that it can always be done better. Maybe his dad taught him that at a really young age
