Yep , same phenomenon here in Belgium with the super-moon .
It's past midnight here and I can see a very bright moon ,surrounded by a halo-ring .

I tried breaking out the camera last night but I got off work too late and wound up missing it. I'm kind of sad I missed the opportunity.

I haven't tried shooting the moon in a while, but here was one of my better attempts. It was taken with:

Nikon D5100
Nikkor 70-300mm (non-VR, no autofocus, so I manually focused best I could)
