Cold start motor wobble E39

I developed a rather strange wobble in my 2001 E39.
One afternoon, I rodded it a bit, no power shifting gears, no high-rev clutch drops, but hot rodded it a bit none the less. And not for long...two or three runs through the gears, hard on the throttle.
The next morning, on start-up, the motor wobbled for a minute. It wasn't a high frequency vibration...a wobble is the right description. After warm-up, I can still feel it at +/-1000rpm. At this range it is slight but still noticeable.
I have replaced the clutch as a matter of due timing, which works as expected.
But the wobble persists.
If any of you have some perspective on, or have experienced this behavior, I'd appreciate an assist.
Thanks.

Thank you Power Belgium...

I thought so myself. When I had the clutch replaced I asked him to check them.

He said they were OK. Now, he's a very good mechanic but doesn't work on Euro as a general rule. I'm in rural Iowa at this time and his main clientele is Buicks and pickup trucks.

You laugh but it's true! I swear!

Is there a way to check it myself?
