...you know you're old when you know what this is.

...you are really old when you can describe how it works to somebody.

...you are really really old when you an tear one down and rebuild it.

My bad humor is not an exact science. I'd wager that you had an old person (uncle, dad, family friend) teach you how to do it.

I tried to teach my son and he was more interested in computers so I gave up trying to share the old days. He didn't even want to learn how to rebuild wheel cylinders on drum brakes.

I had a bracket racer neighbor who sold me my first set of wheels and took me drag racing. Pit for him in high school stand between cars at start. Changed rear diff gears in my mustang with him. Carb I did myself using a book. I'm 48 so not ancient yet.

Actually it is not as bad as it sounds. For my first one, I was out of it. But for my second one, I was more alert; but even so, it was not the worse thing. Better to prevent, than the alternative.

I was out for both of mine. Like getting 8hrs of sleep in an hour. I'd love to have whatever it was they shot into me for that.

Yep - it pulled and twisted just fine, however made no difference to the PRM. Easier to just give it a calculated feed of right foot.
