Does anyone else nap at work?

I swear, mid-afternoon naps are the best. Lock the door and hope no one comes knocking. 20-30 minutes and I wake up more productive and ready to work than if I didn't nap. Napping makes me a better person.

I'm somewhat envious because you don't have to commute or waste time out of life to commute, but I really like getting out of the house when I'm working. Too many fun distractions at home.

During my lunch break I normally sit in the car and listen to music, wipe down the interior, clean my wheels and nap for about 30 minutes. It does help.

My first job out of college was a CPA firm down near the Bull on Broadway and I was in the office maybe once/twice a week. The other days I would work from home or drive to construction sites doing audits for the NYC Carpenters Union. However, I just hated working from home as I really never got anything done. Probably because I didn't have an office setting at our old house .

I have an office at home, but yeah I hear ya! I thought oh man I will have time to do so much shit once I'm working from home, but it's the opposite, day goes by super fast and I barely have time to do anything. Doesn't help that I wake up at 11am though!

Luckily I do work for myself so it's not as bad as if you had a boss on your ass all day giving you work. Sometimes I have a lot of work sometimes I don't have shit. I tend to leave shit until the last minute and then bang it out in a day or so meanwhile I spent the rest of the week eating shit and feeling like I'm too busy to get anything done.

That being said I still prefer it over a regular job and honestly none of my previous jobs were that bad. Came in at 10am left at 6pm took however long I wanted for lunch, but I'm just not a people person and traffic (even at 10am) pisses me off. I notice it now more than ever since I hardly drive, when I do get stuck in traffic I'm ready to kill someone after like 2 seconds!

I have a dedicated home office... It's still hard to be productive at home because it's also my mancave. Desk and computer on one side, guitars, XBOX One, Star Wars collectibles and toys on the other.

I am in my "craft room/office". Luckily, the 100 anime action figures I am surrounded by belong to my wife so I do not get distracted. The computer is the greatest distraction to me. Too many forums, haha.

I do not like taking naps in general. I wake up groggy, moody, and feel unproductive.

As far as the IRS is concerned... it is!

File cabinet... check
Desktop Computer... check
Work Related software... check

Technically, the TV and the XBOX are write-offs as well and part of my business expenses.

And the Star Wars stuff... I have some star wars toys and diecast cars in my work office as well.

All the time. Usually a 20min nap after lunch. Helps clear the mind. Once I'm back up I feel sharp and refreshed.

Used to but don't anymore. I agree that even a 10-15 minute nap can do wonders for you.

Operating on about 12 hours of sleep between the past three nights..., a nap sounds incredible but the office is in the back of the plant and there's constantly operators and engineers coming in.

Never take naps but damn..., today might be the day.

Same here. Plus, it'll take me 45 min to fall asleep and then 30 min to not feel groggy afterwards.

Hand full of dried fruit, nuts and dark chocolate mix does the same as a nap. Tastes better too.
