Need advice asap g82 or f82 cs
So. I’m looking to purchase a 2021 g82 m4 comp or a f82 cs 2020
Both similarly priced G82 is a little more I absolutely love the f82 - shape , lines , the cs with ceramic Breaks, the oled , the limited #s run - love the way the car feels driving it. I can live without the creature comforts if I have to - I feel it would be the happier option G82 …. Doesn’t wow me , it’s newer. More warranty , make more power packed with tech , Newer shape - Im torn bc Im just realizing the f82 shape is comming up on 10 years old now —- Want something that can possible be a classical car , good value etc While I know this is the f82 form. Wanted to hear some thoughts because I just can’t make this decision myself Going to post on the g82 form too !! Spend 2 weeks trying to make a decision |

You're going to get confirmation bias from either forum. Just follow your heart or whatever makes the most economic sense to you. I just don't see the G8X look ever becoming "classic" compared to the other cars in the M lineup, but what do I know?

Yeah …..
I was trying to convince myself it’s an “ investment “.lol I Had the opportunity to buy a 1m when they just came Out vs the e92 335. And went with the 335. ( idiot ) I guess …. If one Where to eventually appreciate…. I think of the 2 it’s the f82 cs ….. |

Cars as an investment? Hard pass... i want my investments to appreciate. Very few easily attainable cars do that.

I really think the looks of the F82 CS will age well, great lines. I would lean that way if I could afford one. I hate the dash in the G series cars, when the other shoe drops on all that touchscreen tech, I'd hate to be footing the bill for repairs.

Want a classic, maybe just as easy as buying a manual transmission BMW. Likely to be a classic soon.
But what's not to love about a 2020 M4CS. The last good looking BMW. (I may be biased) |

1. Don’t buy cars as an investment
2. Buy the F82

CS for sure. G82 doesn’t offer anything additional that actually matters to me

Chances of a car going up in value is extremely small. Just get what you want and enjoy it.

Let that idea go. MOST cars will never appreciate in value. Get what you want to drive not what you want to try to raise a value of

What LOL. That’s definitely not true. Many people buy newer cars and wish they had the older versions—especially if they were more fun to drive and more connected.

There are plenty of members on this forum that sold their f8x to buy a g8x. Most of them have since sold their newer g8x and bought another older f8x. Some even purchased the even older e9x M3. Also, current f8x owners are replacing their cars with e9x M3s, too. Newer isn’t always better even when newer outperforms older in all objective categories.
