Do you have another computer you could try pairing the mouse too?
Have you "forgotten" or unpaired the previous devices to this mouse?
Has this mouse ever been paired to another device? If so, did you unpaid it?

This problem is existing from that last time I asked for help. My mouse pad on the laptop is ok now but it's faster if my damn wireless mouse would just work.

Haha... nice... I have been pretty busy, so was not here. I have been typing to/two (but never too) fast.

Allow me to try this:
Are their/they're (not there) any other BT devices connected to your laptop which are still working?
(Trying to eliminate the possibility of BT card failure in the computer)

You're (not your) concern is very touching.

If unpairing the mouse does not work, can you borrow another bt device (like a keyboard or headset or something) to try to connect. I would try to eliminate the BT card in the computer as a cause.

I uninstalled the old mouse and the new one isn't showing as being installed. I just plug the little stub into the USB port and it should install automatically, right?

Under "connected devices" the mouse receiver shows up, but under "mouse" it shows nothing installed.

Mice often have a separate power control on the bottom.

Did a folder pop up when you connect the receiver? There may be installation files/instructions on the receiver.

Oh... so it is connecting to a receiver... not to in internal card. OK.

Is there a pairing process with that receiver? Can you post a link to (or send a picture of ) the mouse / mouse & receiver combo.

I can't get that red laser looking light on on the bottom of the mouse. But the top has a green button lit up showing it's got power.
I had a pop up showing it was installing but it doesn't look like it worked and I can't get that screen to pop up again n
