Props to you. I have plenty of pics from the neck down posted in the fitness thread, but I don't want to post face pics because of personal reasons. I don't even allow my photos to be posted on FaceBook by my family.

Now_Rudi and Turkish Pickle have seen my face on Linked In though.

I had to make sure you guys appreciated me for me and you weren't just sucking up.

Ok...I will do this. It's a first for me, but I'm sure anyone looking hard enough can find this type of info.

The 1st was me last year at the beach, the 2nd was me about 7-8 years ago. Both pics cropped to keep my wife out of the picture as she is very private.

As you can see.... I've aged especially in the eye area. And I wear my hair a little shorter sometimes and it's starting turn colors.

I don't have a lot of pics of me smiling...so I figured I would put up one that shows that I do have teeth!

53 checking in. In decent shape and getting into better shape in 2020. My baby brother (48) is home recovering from tripple by pass open heart surgery. Give me a reason to consider everything I’m eating now.

He was in better shape than me, watched his diet and it blows my mind this Happened.

Quick chain of events

On treadmill and felt winded.
Got off after 40 min walk /run
Decided pain was indigestion and took antacid
Went to urgent care
Was sent to Hosptal
Had tripple by pass

Listen to your body. It saved his life. Widow maker 90 clogged ! Drs can’t figure out why he did not have other symptoms. Thinking back he did but ignored them.

Wow, glad he went to get some help. 48 too? Yikes. Never too young, old, thin, over-weight, etc.

I am in the winding down stages of my 50's (turn 59 in a couple of months) and am healthier than I was in my 30's thanks to a heart attack and a diabetes diagnosis at the age of 47.

I always tell people I can't recommend it, but that the heart attack was also one of the best things to ever happen to me. Went from around 245lbs to generally holding in the 180's.

It also helped me to figure out that work means nothing and family is everything!

The after portion is 10 years old at this point, but included is an old before/after picture.

My younger brother died from a massive heart attack in his early 50's. He was in much better shape than I was at the time, but he was also a lifelong diabetic and apparently wasn't paying attention to things like cholesterol levels. It's one of the reasons I make sure to see my doctor at least twice a year.

I'll play. Please excuse the crappy pic of a pic but this is mid-'93, I'm 29 years old. And yes, we're still married! Second pic was last year at JazzFest, 55 then, 56 now. I'm on the left (Piggly Wiggly shirt) and the beard is gone, something I grow out every 2-3 years but get tired of it after a few months.

You look friendlier with the beard.

I keep meaning to shave mine, but summer is over so fast and then I wind up deciding to keep it for warmth during the winter. Which is over half the year.

But I keep mine trimmed short, probably a centimeter or so, generally trim when it hits about an inch or so.

The first one is my wife (been married 30 years next year) and I about six months ago in the Blue Mountains.

The second one is a few months ago at a Ducati/Westpac Helicopter charity thing.

Same here. My wife says I look like I'm pissed off all the time.....when I grow the beard out, she thinks I look more friendly for some reason.
