It also has built-in Apple airplay, so you can natively cast from your iPhone or iPad to the TV. Another great feature is they pass through all sound formats, which is good if you go with the latest soundbar tech. Lastly, although I don't use the TV's speaker (I got a soundbar), they are surprisingly decent as it uses the entire screen itself to transmit sound. We love them.

One caveat - if this is going into a room with bright lighting (lots of windows) these screens do reflect quite a bit.
Thanks. I should have pulled the trigger last night as the price went up today. I ended up buying an LG OLED65CXPUA, to be delivered Wednesday. I think the Sony and LG are pretty similar and both highly rated. Choices these days are overwhelming...

The room does get a lot of light, but we mostly watch at night. We have Denon + speakers for sound and use AppleTV.

You can't go wrong with either - you will love the LG too. Neck and neck in terms of picture quality and performance. Enjoy!

I'm not going to beat up this thread with an extended post, but I'm not the biggest fan of OLED TVs. After seeing too many displays ruined, image/screen retention (aka: burn in) scares the crap out of me. I don't want to have to manage what I watch because I'm afraid of image retention. Shadow detail, and peak brightness are also underwhelming aspects of OLED.

However, off axis viewing, and contrast are exceptional.

Picked up a vintage LeJour chrono in PVD, "the poor man's Heuer."

And a vintage look rally strap for it so I can get it off the goofy dress band.

I'm still rocking my 65" 1080p Panasonic Plasma in the living room. I have a 55" OLED 4K in my home office and the only problem is see is off-axis viewing has some color shifting/washing at extreme angles. Not a deal breaker since watching from that angle is completely ludicrous. At the distance I watch TV, I can't really tell between 4k and 1080. The 4k is really noticeable when I'm on the X-Box though, especially on FPS games when I'm sniping from 100yds+ at a pixel that might be someone's head.

I had a horrible experience with LG waaaaay back in the day when LEDs were brand new, maybe ten or more years ago. The blacks were absolutely horrible so the screen would auto dim when there was a lot of black. It kept dimming and brightening and I couldn't turn it off. I hated it, just a garbage tv. My new 4k LG monitor, however, has been very good so far, so maybe LG has redeemed themselves.

I'm not outright arguing with you, but I think the risk may be extremely low:

I'm in the industry and have intimate experience with image retention. No way I'd be playing the same video game, or watching a news channel for extended periods (hours) or you'll leave a mark on an OLED. For many this isn't an issue, but I can't say I'm willing to rule this out of my personal usage. I can think of at least a half-dozen industry retailers/installers I know using a burned-in OLED they took out of a job for an extra display in their back office. This is a prevalent issue.

Attached are personal images I saved for instances like this where people think image retention really isn't something to think about. To put it simply, it is a real issue. Manage your viewing.

Fortunately I don’t play video games and CNBC is only on the cheap LCD in my office during the day. The only significant risk to the LG would be leaving Apple TV on the home screen with no one watching but we usually turn off TVs when no one is watching and use a screen saver with the Apple TV in case we stop watching but forget to turn it off.

When we got the plasma 14 years ago, we also heard about potential burn in and plasma’s losing gas such that they wouldn’t last long. But it has served us well.

Yup - definitely acknowledged. For reference, the Sony A8H has a "Panel Refresh" function that allegedly clears out these ghost images. It's not recommended to perform this function more than once per year, and only if hours upon hours of static image viewing is prevalent.
I notice that your ghost images seem to be taken from a curved TV, so this may be an older model more prone to this anomaly?

Great example of why I'm a Diesel whore. Nobody does worn better. These new D-Strukt (style 069PT) are 🔥! The military green will slide right into my nearly all-black wardrobe nicely.

I had a few different ratcheting drivers and had dislikes about each of them, and with Wera having such great reviews I figured I would give it a try. I really like it so far with no gripes yet!

The 18v router was because I was an idiot and forgot my 1/4" collet for my corded one when at a friends house building something I needed to put a chamfer on, and Home Depot was really close

I think you'll be hard pressed to find dislikes about the Wera stuff. I have a handful of items that I've been gifted, by sales people and tools of theirs that I've won at trade shows. I wish I had more. I wish I had the need to buy more so I could justify the spend. Their Joker series ratchet wrenches are the business.

Just noticed the router is cordless, nice!

I just bought some cobra pliers (Knipex) a while ago due to similar levels of reviews. I just don't use wrenches enough to justify $180 per set of Joker wrenches!
