No, it isn't.

No more - we're full.
I believe that the US has 9,833,517 km2 with 33 people per square kilometre, hardly full, the poor old Uk by comparison has only 242,910 km2 with a population of 271 per km2, you guys still have plenty of room for more
The LAST THING the US wants or needs to be is the UK.

But other than that, how much of the UK is a waterless desert? Or a granite mountain range? Or...

You really should get out more. And close your borders as well.

Your reading skills are impeccable as that seems to be exactly what I said and suggested.

So you point is, the best way to grow an economy and create demand is for a country to stop immigration.
No - that's not at all what I said.

If those jobs paid better, there would be lots of takers, and less people on welfare.

People could pay more for the end product, because they would be paying less social services.

Illegal immigrants wreck the wages for those jobs, and they consume an inordinate amount of taxpayer-funded social services.

It's Corporate Welfare at its worst.

They also discourage automation and innovation, due to an abundance of cheap labor.

But they do generate a new class of liberal voters.

You live to conflate issues to make dubious points, don't you? Illegal immigration and legal immigration are different subjects. Your original point (albeit an intellectually daft one) was that the US is reaching maximum population capacity and therefore all immigration needs to cease. You now twist that to use one of your favourite stalking horses, illegal immigration, to deflect from the vacuousness of your original argument as you watch it being completely blown up by the posts (sarcastic or otherwise) of others.

Gosh - you're right. I meant to say "illegal immigrants and legal immigrants with no skills," although I would qualify the legal immigrants by saying that they:

- frequently don't assimilate,

- mostly live off government assistance for the first many years they are here,

- bring their family members here as well,

- and disproportionately consume social services,

- take years to educate, at taxpayers expense.

Nice catch!

Canada is next. Haven't there already been a few racially/religious based shootings there?

How exactly does one move in the USA legally with no skills, money? The social security network I witnessed in WA was enough for me to doubt this could happen.

It happens all the time. From what I understand, to immigrate to Canada, you have to start a business and employ at least one Canadian. Not so here...

You need to brush up on this a bit.

I only know what my Canadian friends tell me, and this:

Express Entry for Skilled Workers. The skilled worker class is considered by many to be the most effective way to gain Canadian residency. People with at least 12 months of full time managerial, professional, or skilled trade work experience may apply under this category.[3]

When applying through this class, officials will consider your age, work experience, education, and the field in which you will be working.

Business Start-up or Investor. These types of visas are meant for individuals who are entrepreneurs, own their own businesses, or who are professional investors. Investors who wish to apply through the investor channel must have a net worth of at least $10 million Canadian Dollars or more.[4]

Provincial. Provincial class residency occurs when a specific Canadian province selects you to move to it. This form of residency is relatively rare.

Family Sponsored. In the family class, your family members who already live in Canada can agree to sponsor your immigration to the country.

Quebec-Selected. Quebec-selected immigration is similar to Provincial class residency, except it is the Provincial government that selects you on behalf of the Federal Government. It is designed for students, business people : including the Quebec VIP Investment visa Program , temporary workers, families, and refugees who only want to move to Quebec.

International Adoption. In the international adoption class, current Canadian citizens who have adopted a baby or child from another country can secure the child's Canadian residency.

Refugees. People who are fleeing their home countries for safety reasons may also apply for residency by completing a refugee application. Sponsorship to help with the cost of the application and relocating to Canada is also available.[5]

Caregivers. If you are coming to Canada for the purpose of caring for a Canadian resident or citizen, then you may be able to apply for a Caregiver visa.

Self-Employed. If you work for yourself, then you may be able to apply for a visa as a self-employed individual. Keep in mind that you may have to prove that you have an income of at least $40,000 per year and that you could continue to earn as much living in Canada.[6]

Lol, I fucked up. Canada does well with taking in refugees and professionals. I was still talking about the USA immigration (second beer! I'm basically drunk!)

You don't take in anyone now. It'll be funny since you've relied on immigration for innovation from the 70's on.

Four years is a big cap to tie over after trump. Canada is already sucking in the professionals and they have trade deals too. It'll be a shift.
