funny thing is that i would face the phone towards the camera, write out the letter and then TURN the phone so it wouldn't illuminate.

when i'd get to the next letter i'd flip the phone's face back towards the camera and start the letter, HAHA !!!!

You didn't mess with the sharpness or feather the edges on this? That is a pretty steep falloff in sharpness even for the 100/2.8, I thought it was chopped too. I have the lens BTW.

Good one of him, hope you get more classics like this. Print up a triptych and hang it.
Edit.
Try wearing black pants and smaller aperture in that same spot so you don't get ghosty legs. Outline the car and wheels it looks nice. Overall the sodium lights give it that golden sunset light. Drop the exposure some in PP and you can make it look more like evening.

I did increase the sharpness on the edges in that photo, so perhaps that's what threw you off. How do you like that lens?

Btw, I'm surprised no one asked me what it was a pic of... guess it was obvious?

Love the lens, sharpness is fantastic from macro to landscape. Just wish I could do the 100L and get IS for non flash museum photography.

I didn't want to ask about your personal hygiene. All I know it isn't Duponts IMR powder.

Litos, I've been playing with some light painting too. Sadly no good pics, just a bunch of error with my trial. You could slap on an ND filter to lengthen out the exposure. That should help with the 'ghost legs.' It will also make the iPhone a little less bright in the picture, but that should be ok since your legs would no longer be a distracting factor.
