You might start here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=277439 for a convenient resource right no this site. The problem that you need to address on this particular picture is called DOF (Depth of Field). You increase that by making the aperture smaller, but that will slow the shutter speed, so you'll likely have to increase the ISO. Try to figure out how to solve this problem with your camera. Also, I'm not sure where you were focusing. You'll want to understand the focus points for you camera and if you can change them and how to know you're in focus.

Thank you for the advice. I will pick up my camera again and start shooting and trying to figure all this stuff out. TBH I have no clue about what I'm doing, learning by doing... Thank you for the link too, all those terms get my head spinning, but I will catch on to them eventually.

ok, so i'm totally afraid of Photoshop, so i never touch it if i can help it.
I'm wanting to learn though, so any pictures you see of mine are in their original form, other then me tinkering with the camera. i liked the colors on these stairs. |

Thanks!
Bill, I keep forgetting to comment on your photo every time I load this page... I really like the sky! I remember there was a ittens contrast contest sometime ago, and you should've entered this pic. I like how it seems fiery below in the trees, and frigid in the sky.
