Carlos was close to Max, he made a mistake towards the end of the lap.

I think Carlos makes a good second driver. I think he just needs to get more confidence in the car. It feels like the pressure of being at Ferrari and having a competitive car is coaxing him into minor mistakes here and there with disastrous outcomes.

That said, I'd love to have Lando bedsides Charles. His talent is being wasted at McLaren. It seems like the most they can do is be the best of the rest.

It doesn't look like it's actively raining much in Q2 but it's taking forever for the rooster tails to settle, it looks like an impenetrable fog. I haven't seen a post of the weekend, does anyone know the forecast for the race?

I definitely missed that. The consensus outside of this board is that Le Clerc was going to devastate Sainz. The fact is Sainz beat Le Clerc and beat Lando the year before that.

Sainz being booted given he is having a bad year is a knee jerk reaction IMO.

Alonso kicked A$$ during FP3 in extreme wet conditions paired with a thunderstorm .

Fernando flew over the the Montreal track !

One thing is for sure : The Spaniard had big b@lls in the rain ..

My prediction is that ALO will finish in the top 5 today during the QF !

What a week! but it's F1 quali now and as expected a blow for Chas with that PU swap with all the ancillaries and ECU too taking the back of the grid penalty..I though the E10 trick fuel injection was too good to be true..not on E10.
