Snorning Reduction

Wifey's been complaining my snoring is getting worse every year.
I think my septum is deviated but will need to confirm with my EMT soon.

Now people here that have snoring problems, did you resort to surgery or other methods?

Fucking nightmare. mine is due to weight gain so use a CPAP to solve it, it does work but now, for whatever reason, she has become ultra sensitive to the white noise of the machine.

Being on the other side of the pillow, snoring is a true nightmare for the partner. For years I was sleep-deprived, went so far as sleeping in other rooms. She finally went in for a sleep study and they couldn't believe she was still alive.

We still have the occasional "outburst" but she is SO much nicer these days, since she gets a few hours of rest each night. Since I do as well, I'm better able to sense and respond to outbursts in a calm fashion. The kids like their mom too.

Have you tried nasal strips? They help open the nasal passages around a deviated septum if it's not too extreme. They help with my snoring, although if I end up on my back I still make a racket.

Did the sleep study diagnose a treatment?

yea they suck. I've tried the mouth guards too(sucks balls). I don't want to sick anything up my nose and I'm almost certain surgery will cure my snoring.

Absolutely. It seemed they only needed her to fall asleep to diagnose the apnea. The rest of the time was adjusting the CPAP settings, for the eventual prescription.

We both snore. We sleep in separate bedrooms. Problem solved.

my wife uses noise machine to drown out my snoring.
also i have lost some weight also seems to improve on my snoring.

My co worker got rid of his snoring by doing the yoga breathing exercise called pranayama. Just google it, very easy to do and I have heard from a bunch of people that it helps.

Thanks all. My ENT said my septum is severely deviated. Going to do a sleep study but most likely need surgery.

pranayama is good for all us mouth-breathers. Once you pay attention to your own breathing, you will notice how poorly most other people breathe though.
