Very positive. I found it less scary than I anticipated but also harder to do. I had confidence in my instructor who was very good so that helped and he was owner of range.

Yeah there was a couple days ago. Same stretch of 94 that had the huge crash last year.

MSHP is already pretty lax and people drive fast, but that section of 94 is like the autobahn. Never patrolled and people know it. It's also the perfect distance from the lake to get dumped on with snow, so you can't see and it piles up fast. Add even a little traffic and people cut their following distances in half. Perfect combination for what keeps happening.

I really miss being home, but I do not miss having to deal with the shit winters and still being expected to go into work.

It's a give and take for sure. I spent 4 days in the mountains and the first thing I thought getting home was how damn cold it was here. lol But then again, hearing SF people talk about their $2500/mo apartment as a good deal makes me appreciate this area too.

That's why I'm caught up on staying in NC or not. Everything is affordable, car insurance isn't jacked up, weather is nicer, roads are nicer, beach babes, VIR...., but everyone is not here which sucks.

Plus the State goes into a Shutdown mode, grocery stores have long lines and empty shelves within a few hours just hearing about possible snow and free holidays from work

Seriously, I was driving through it no problem, and everyone is in full on panic mode. I don't drive out there not because of me, but because of them. It's a damn circus.

It's nice at night when the roads are 100% empty though.

I know what you mean. I'm still able to get home about every 4-6 weeks, which is nice, but I don't know how every 4-6 months would affect me. You're on the other end of what I think about doing a lot.

Sore throat...kinda bronchitis and drove this morning(4:30-AM) in the snow to my work .
Stuffy nose on top of my chronic sinus problem ect....

Freeze temps and snow this morning ...Kinda all sucks !
