*This already exists and there's books on the topic. I just want an excuse to do it because I think it's interesting, especially as it relates to HFT.

I put some softer "Tiger" wood in the front of the house, and was assured I could do at least two sanding before I would have to replace it. That was probably 10 years ago, still haven't sanded it once. Area rugs FTW! to cover major scratches. Indoor dogs, and babysitting of a large portion of the local family members.
