Thanks, Dave. I installed an Eg-S screen, which makes MF easier. Although with the stacked TCs, the viewfinder was *dark*. Still, I was able to see just enough to focus. No way I could have done this handheld. Tough enough on the gimbal.

On another note, my requisition for the 5D MkIII went through channels ok, so now it's just a waiting game.

Combining full-frame with the 5D3's incredible AF takes things to a whole new level, particularly for this kind of shooting.

I went down to the park last night after dinner and watched this kite do its thing. It wasn't long before he was successful. I think there may be a chick to feed, as it flew all the way back to its nest with this meal, whereas they usually just go to a nearby tree and eat.
