How wet/heavy is the snow? Is the intake getting stuffed? Are you letting it propel itself forward or are you pushing it forward?

Mine will sometimes do that if I try to force it forward. I'm heavy handed at times... Worked awesomely this past weekend, though. Glad I sprung for it.

I live in area with light dry snow and have found a battery operated Stihl leaf blower to be of great use if the snow is not a big dump. If we get a big dump then I have a Honda snow blower which has been very dependable and clears all but the heavy wet snow that I call heart attack snow. As for lawn cutting I have a Honda self driving mower with a bagger that you can adjust how much you want to bag and how much you wish to mulch. It has about 8 speeds and does a wonderful job.

Could just be the fact that this last snow was a bear. Very dense, very hard to move. I had to keep backing up and ramming into it with my tracked Honda. Neighbor with a wheeled blower ended up leaving several inches of snow on his driveway -- which is now packed down ice.
