Me? I said TAMPA area is not getting the eye like Miami is. We will get hit with 50 to 60 mph winds, maybe. Most likely less from yesterday's models. But we are not in the heart of this thing. We will be fine. Rick is about to be staring down the Eye of Irma. She's only going to tip her skirt to us.

Forecasts have been shifting further and further west. We are around 25 miles west of the east coast (between Atlantic and Lake Okeechobee). Currently the center of the "cone" looks like it is a good 80 miles west of us now vs. about a mile less than 48 hours ago. I think we will all see an impact since it is such an enormous storm, but there isn't a clear picture on how much. Forecasts will continue to change and it could shift back this way, although I think the hope for a sharp right turn out into the Atlantic is over.

We are prepared and our in-laws are on their way from Miami so we'll ride it out and hope we don't lose power for too long.

Anyone in Miami who doesn't have a garage and wishes to put their car somewhat indoors (garage with openings but better than leaving it out in the open) text me 305-992-7512. Garage is located in South Miami a block from US1 and Sunset (72nd st). Access card is needed to enter/exit so I'll be dropping off my car by this evening. This will be free as I'm not trying to make a profit off of a pending disaster as some people are around here in Miami. We need to help each other out.
