Have you seen the possibility of the 4 series LCI being delayed? BMW released EOP/SOP for MY25 March and April builds and it's mysteriously missing. |

I heard from a dealer that the G90 M5 would be available to order in early March, and that they heard this information earlier this month. Maybe they misspoke and meant the reveal. Can you or anyone else confirm this if true? |

Appreciate your continued updates to this informative thread, ynguldyn.
Can you confirm whether the SOP-EOP of the G97 X3MC will follow the base X3 G45 series dates (08/24-10/33) or will it have a different timeline? Quote:

Understood. Our early run 2018 G01 X3M40i arrived Oct 2017 and early production 2020 F97 X3MC in Sep 2019. So if that's consistent looking at ~ 2-1/2 years. [Edit 18 Feb 2024 1119AM -And for completeness of the model timeline, my wife's early run 2022 F97 X3MC LCI arrived in Aug 2021]. Will check back for your updates. Thanks again for the thread.

Hard to see the G87 M2 NOT getting M xDrive [as rumored/speculated for 2026] and a significant bump in power to remain competitive in this space as time marches on and the M3 & M4 get even faster by going electric. If it plays out this way, the future of the M2 looks very promising but BMW should keep building the ICE cars alongside the electric ones and lets sales dictate when the ICE cars go away. I think they may be surprised by how many people will prefer to continue buying "slower" ICE cars. Many of them already prefer to buy the "slower" manual versions of their ICE cars so the emotional part of the driving experience still sells a lot of cars. I've driven an i4 M50 several times now and while it is a touch faster than these M cars, it doesn't leave me with the same feeling after stepping out of a M2/M3/M4. It's not even close. |

in the next gen, 2028+ there will be an ICE 3 series on an evolution of the current ICE chassis. With potential (probably likely at this point given how EV growth/adoption trends have slowed somewhat) production of an ICE/hybrid M3 model based on that chassis. There will also be concurrently an i3 based on a completely new electric only chassis with electric only M models. So its not exactly a replacement for the ICE M3 as the vehicle design will be distinctly different than the ICE 3 series. |

And along side that, if the dates above from the OP are accurate, an all electric M3 based on the NA0/NA1 Neue Klasse i3 chassis. This all makes more sense to me now. Let's hope the G84 M3 [and M4, M2] actually happen and thanks for clarifying! Last edited by hooked; 02-14-2024 at 01:52 PM.. |

I don't think so. Maybe I'm just old but after I drive an electric car, even a really fast one, I don't feel like I'm missing anything. After I got out of the M3C and M2 I've driven, I was like...man I NEED to own one of these. I wasn't expecting the feelings/emotions to be so different.

Hey all, first time poster looking for some advice.
I'm very close to putting a deposit down on a new M340i Touring - however the info there is going to be a new LCI has made me pause. Is there any more information about what the exterior changes will be and also when we're likely to hear anything more official? Just want to make sure I'm not signing up to something that will be obviously out of date in 6 months! |
