What games are you playing at the moment?

Since Diablo II Resurrection is lowered at prices... anyone had played this already or is it just a waste of money compared to D3 (which I have fully played until the last season)?

Thanks for the heads up on the discount, would get it but im actually enjoying Lost Ark which from what I understand is a more 2022 friendly way to play an ARPG. Still super grindy though. I didn't get into D2 when it first came out i think I'm gonna wait till i might actually have time to play it

I'd played D2 as it releases back into the mid 90s. Not sure if its worth the money just to play an graphical updated game for nothing but own pleasure.
Actually Im considering waiting for D4, whenever this may come...

Assassin's Creed: Origins

I played the OG AC games up untill AC Unity but imo the new AC games have nothing to do with the AC franchise. Still I really like Origins, not as an AC, but as a game in general.

I came into the AC world late, so I didn't get hooked on the original franchise, but I do see what people mean when they say this. I think what I enjoy about AC games the most is the freedom and combat options. Not a lot of games allow you to be stealthy or clear out an entire compound silently without being noticed. It's a fun challenge sometimes.

The real world locations are fun also. I was playing Origins when I found out I was going to Egypt in real life for a mission. I pulled me into the game so much more.

I recently built a sim racing rig, got VR for it, bought a few more new games that will work with the sim and VR, yet I can't seem to pull myself away from Space Engineers. I swear every day I think of new ways to build stuff and then I can't wait to get home and try it.

I'm currently Playing lost ark on the mari server, it has great combat but feels grindy. Never really played a serious mmo before but I hear this is the norm. I also play hearthstone battlegrounds.

Taking a break from Warcraft after getting back into it just before Shadowlands. I am trying to find a game that is just as fun that my older PC can actually run. I really don't want to buy a $500+ video etc etc. I chased performance way too many times in the past and blew a ton of money just so I could play the next $60 game. So far no luck yet.

Currently switching between wwe2k22 and Townsmen which is a VR game.

Nothing new with the wwe game really still the same mindless fun from 20 years ago or whenever they first launched thesethings. Townsmen is rts style builder vr game, it`s quite engaging but does lack excitemnet imo.

LOL is built on Dota forum. PenDragon stole community's work on heroes and designs and game suggestions and came up this LOL with Ginsoo. Both of them are liers and no longer welcome by Dota funs. I don't think they were invited in many developer's events, either.

So if you play LOL you are playing Dota's copycat. Period.

HoN is introduced at 2011-2012 I believe. It's the middle work between Dota and Dota2 by Iceforg. Then the publisher cut a deal with him after some discussions on the future of the game on keeping Dota heroes. Then Icefrog went to Valve to build Dota2.

Recently, prior to the Covid thing, Tencent, which is Riot (LOL) parent company bought HoN.

I would say HoN is dead.

I played thousands of games in Dota, HoN then Dota2. Spent like tens of thousands of hours on them. Then I spent like 5000 hours on Diablo III.

Nothing beats Dota in competitive gaming.

I've played all of the diablo games and I'd have to say Diablo 2 is by far the best Diablo game.

Diablo 3 is bad in comparison. D2 is way harder.

I mentioned this before, but I've been immersed in DCS, specifically with the recently released AH-64D Apache module...and I'm using it exclusively in VR (HP Reverb G2 headset).

It's absolutely incredible to be flying around, using the helmet mounted eye sight targeting system for the 30mm gun. Where you look, it shoots. It's hard to describe until you experience it in VR!

DCS is free to play, but how many air craft are available in the base game? I can justify dropping $65 to get the AH-64D module since the base game is free, but paying that price over and over for other aircraft would get expensive real fast.

The trick is to wait for their frequent sales....if a module has been out for over a year, you often see 50% off. Recently released such as the Hind or Apache will get 30% off.

Also, when they announce a new module, it will go on sale as "Early Access" before it is actually released and you get a good discount if you pre-purchase.

On the day it is released, it will still be considered Early Access, meaning not all of the features are enabled quite yet but you still get a discount, but slightly less than if you had bought it pre-release.

DSC is free to play, but you don't get much of anything with the free download. Start by buying the Flaming Cliffs base during a sale - that comes with a lot of aircraft to start. Then, add modules at your own pace during subsequent sales.

Im after the last patch disturbed with random DEV 6328 errors, appearing at no certain timeintervals but annoying as hell.
