The 980Ti was moved to my Ryzen 1700 build (had to RGB this one, lol), which is in a NZXT S340 Elite with NZXT Hue+, 16gb ram, 1tb SSD, and 850W psu. I have a couple of others but they're i5-6600K and i5-4950 with RX480 that don't get as much attention nor are they as pretty. |

I haven’t looked through the entire thread but has anyone looked at the skull canyon or hades canyon? I’m thinking about loading up a hades canyon.

My current setup. Mac Pro 2,1 2 x 3GHz Quad-Core Xeon 32GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 5770 2x Dell S2415H LCDs I bought the Mac Pro from Craigslist for $150 and brought it back to life. Since its an old system, parts was super cheap. All together (including the Mac) i spent $100 to get it up and running again. My previous setup Intel Core i5-6500 3.2Ghz (Skylake) Noctua NH-L9i CPU Cooler Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI LGA1151 Crucial Ballistic Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) Samsung 256GB SSD Windows 10 Pro Streacom - F1CWS Evo HTPC case 120w Power Supply (PicoPSU compatible) picoPSU-160-XT 160W Power Converter Module I wanted to build a minimal themed Windows box so this is what i came up with. The case looks like a taller Mac Mini and its 100% aluminum throughout. Its super clean and super quiet, and also for sale. |

My new rig incoming at the end of this week... Just in time for my 2 week holiday from work!!
Alienware Area 51 R5 Intel i9 7980xe (18 core) Nvidia 1080Ti graphics card 32gb RAM 1tb PCIe SSD 2tb HD Alienware liquid cooling Windows 10, integral wireless etc etc I know the i9 7980 is overkill for gaming and some lower core-count processors do better on single core benchmark tests, but I managed to get an absolutely ridiculous level of discount so couldn't say no! Will post photos when it arrives! |

How many games and applications are supporting the i9 until now? You're right back from the future, no?
Anyway, cool setup.

Thanks... Not too sure about expansion slots - my current Aurora R4 has quite a bit of space, the area 51 can apparently have triple graphics cards so I imagine there is a reasonable amount of space... We'll see when it arrives... the 7980 is total overkill for anything current really, but at the discount I got I couldn't say no!!

Hey guys,
Can someone tell me what most important to FSX...I don't need 100% settings. But would like HD and don't want to spend a lot buliding a computer(all it will do is run FSX). |

Nothing special. I run FSX with a GTX 680, i7 and 16GB RAM with plenty of frames and its fine, resolution 1280x1024.

Yup all settings to max, resolution is also caused by using a 22" CRT-display and no LCD screen. Had tried 1600x1280 but some of 3rd party aircrafts have flickerings and shoven edges sometimes. So I take the lower resolution, see it all and deal with the given specs. If you scroll back to the 2nd page here, there is a pic of my rig.

No, actually I have no reason to swap the display, all seen until yet havent that depth and trueful color spectrum as this big thing. As long as its running, I'll keep it

But what about more details/pixels, better response rate, faster refresh, blue light filter, anti-flicker tech, etc.?
