Last little touch for the backyard until the winter grass goes in was a sorely needed cleaning of the hard water stains on the pool tile. This morning we ticked that one off the list. Essentially a sand blaster with water soluble material. Action shot, and before and after. Looks great.

Updating the cooktop and dishwasher. I had to make the opening for the cooktop larger to accept the new one.

I absolutely love how your dishwasher sits up off the floor. That is genius.

Thanks. We didn't design the home, but also thought it was a slick feature when we were buying it. The kitchen was a big draw when we were house shopping.

Great for loading/unloading, but not the best idea to put a storage drawer under an appliance that might leak.....

Isn't that pretty much how most dishwashers go? From leaking?

My last two, or was it three, can't remember for sure, went that way. Just replaced one last month for leaking.

I have water detectors at my water heaters, sump pump, dishwasher, and ice maker. If it leaks, the hope is that I detect it quickly and get the water turned off before it can do any serious damage. The drawer under the dishwasher is full of dish towels and pot holders, so no concern about contents. It's more about the cabinets and floor, which would be the same concerns if the washer was mounted in a more traditional location on the floor.

My 60 year old house in the UK.

Before, during and after for the kitchen.
