Finally, one I knew! Quick story about the GG bridge. When I was a kid we were on a family vacation in SF. Travelling across the bridge in heavy traffic and going pretty slow, I watched a guy in jeans and a yellow wind breaker hop up on the rail, flip his legs to the outside, and shove off. I will never forget that.

We talked to the guy taking the toll money, he said it happened occasionally and they rarely found the jumpers. Also watched the news that night, but saw nothing. I was 6 or 7 years old, and it is really amazing how clear that picture is in my mind. One of the most vivid of my childhood.
