The Arbelour 16 is my favorite Arbelour. The smooth Ambler is a pretty solid pour as well, it just doesn't stand out enough from anything else for me to justify buying it.

Just bought a bottle of Lagavulin 16 from Costco. Almost $20 cheaper vs Total Wine.
Anyone have experience with Bulleit Rye? I really like Whistlepig Straight Rye so thinking I should try other rye whiskeys. Last edited by BMW F22; 03-10-2020 at 11:09 PM.. |

I have a bottle from Dickel, and while MGP is the darling of the bourbon nerd crowd, I think my bottle from Dickel is delicious. I don't prefer Scotch, but I agree on that Aberlour 16! |

My daughter went shopping at Costco in Vancouver WA today for some "supplies". They are selling six packs of 1.75L bottles of Bulliet and Bulliet Rye. That ought to hold most folks till the panic is over.

Can’t believe I just stumbled on this thread! I generally prefer SM Scotch but enjoy bourbon as well. My current stock includes:
Bourbon Orphan Barrel Barterhouse Orphan Barrel Gifted Horse Orphan Barrel Rhetoric 23 Bib & Tucker Small Batch 6 year (got this as a gift, anyone ever tried it?) Scotch Macallan 12 Oban 14 Laphroig 18 Yamazaki 12 Gordon Macphail Speymalt Macallan ‘98 Scapa Orcadian Glenfiddich 14 bourbon barrel reserve Glenmorangie Signet The Scapa was my “gateway” scotch. It’s what started me on this wallet-draining path, lol. The Signet was a splurge bottle. If you like scotch and have a chance, try it. It’s phenomenal.

Yeah I know... I set a goal to loose some weight, and pop it when I hit the magic number. I'm close but not there yet!

Didn't make it up north for the big sale, but I hit the local store and grabbed a Jameson IPA Cask and a regular Jameson. Strictly as a disinfectant, you understand. Keep the pipes clean and all.

Smokey. It's funny, I've been drinking whisk(e)y since way before I should have. I remember being at a friends place when I was like 28 and he gave me some Lagavulin and I though WTF, why does this taste like a campfire. Anyway, fast forward and now I really like the smokey salty stuff. Talisker....yum fucking yum.
